Maybe it's the heat of these dog days of summer, but evidently there's something appealing to the fans about a giant sprinkler to run through.

Grabbing 57.04% of your votes, the largest residential sprinkler by Juicy Water (UK) won last week's Fan Choice!

This symbol of summer will now be entered in our list of contenders for a year-end showdown, in which we'll ask you fans to vote for your favorite record of the year at the end of 2013.

Time now to meet this week's candidates and then cast your vote below. This week sees Chef Boyardee's dream come true and one of the least ideal ways to run a marathon, but first - do not try this at home.

FASTEST MOTORCYCLE WHEELIE ON ICE (pictured above)

Record: 174.61 km/h (108.5 mph)

Holder: Ryan Suchanek (USA)

Location: Lake Koshkonong, Wisconsin, USA

That's not all: Suchanek defined feeling the need for speed, as he broke his own record in this category -- more than 22 km/h (13+ mph) faster than his original attempt in 2011. He was required to travel at least 200 meters in the wheelie position, which he maintained over the solid lake in freezing temperatures.

LARGEST RAVIOLO/RAVIOLI

Record: 79.5 kg (175 lb 4.32 oz)

Holder: Tat-Taljan Company (Malta)

Location: Qormi, Malta

That's not all: Remember the record set in Malta for the longest garlic bread earlier this summer? Well, evidence has finally been received and verified for its sister record - a massive raviolo (singular form of ravioli) prepared on the same day. Included in this dish were 12 kg of pasta, 10 kg of parmesan cheese, and 32 kg of ricotta.

FASTEST MARATHON IN FLIP-FLOPS

587611.JPG

Record: 3 hr, 47 min, 33 sec

Holder: David Smith (UK)

Location: Luton Marathon, Luton, Bedfordshire, UK

That's not all: Don't tell the podiatrist! The lack of support provided by flip-flops make them widely knownn as terrible for long-term wear, but that didn't stop Smith: in a rare record twofer, he (pictured in scout uniform) also broke the record for fastest marathon wearing a scout uniform running the same race.

LARGEST FREE-FLOATING SOAP BUBBLE (OUTDOORS)

584861.jpg

Record: 20.65 m³ (729.25 ft³)

Holder: Megan Colby Parker (USA)

Location: Forges Field Recreational Park, Plymouth, Massachusetts, USA

That's not all: Parker's feat was no easy task, as evidenced by the fact that nobody had broken this record in more than four years. She used both a homemade wand made of fishing poles and yarn in addition to a homemade soap bubble solution she concocted herself. The bubbling enthusiast said her inspiration for the record was the fact that nearly all large bubble world records have been set by men.

LARGEST PLASTIC BOTTLE MOSAIC

584124.JPG

Record: 12,100 plastic bottles

Holder: Hiroshima Marina Hop De Sekaikiroku Challenge Project (Japan)

Location: Hiroshima, Hiroshima, Japan

That's not all: The mosaic depicted an image of the Miyajima Torii gate, which is located in the well-known Itsukushima Shrine in Hiroshima. Nearly 500 people helped in the making of the mosaic, which totaled an area of 54.94 square meters.
