The Solution

Guinness World Records offered a record-breaking event from their Engage programme. Part of this custom-made package included a pre-event record consultancy service, and so united as a team, Avolon set out to break the title for the Most tennis balls hit into a target in three minutes (team). As well as creating a huge sense of achievement, breaking a Guinness World Records title is a totally unique way to get the team working together.

To help them reach their target, Guinness World Records brought in trained coaches who worked with the groups to prepare them for the official attempt. Alongside an official adjudicator who offers instant verification, a project manager and an MC were also provided to guide them through this memorable experience. To motivate and inspire Avolon employees even more, multiple world record holder and tennis champion Martina Navratilova was a welcome and surprise guest on the day, to offer a few winning tips and cheer everybody on.

"Every year we try to come up with new and novel ways to challenge our team members at our annual offsite. This year we decided to achieve a record with the Guinness World Records. We successfully reached the milestone on the day and the entire experience both from developing the challenge to execution was managed professionally and it was a truly memorable experience for our entire team."
