The Guinness World Record for the longest LAN Party was successfully achieved.

LAN Party gaming reached a new level during a Guinness World Records attempt at the NVISION® 08 event from 25 to 27 August in San Jose, California, USA.

203 Hardcore gamers set the new Guinness World Record for the longest continuous LAN party by playing games for 36 straight hours!

The goal for the Guinness World Record was for a dedicated team of gamers to play video games continuously for 36 hours. The participating team members received numerous prizes, including a commemorative medal, custom gear, gift cards, and of course, world recognition when, following a successful outcome of the attempt, the Guinness World Records Adjudicator, Gaz Deaves, confirmed that the record had been officially broken. The attempt took place in a special, reserved section of the NVISION 08 GeForce® LAN Party.

A flagship event at NVISION 08, the Guinness World Record attempt was made possible by the support of EVGA, the Marquee Sponsor of the NVISION 08 LAN Party, as well as Patriot Memory, an official NVISION 08 Sponsor.

Taking place from 25 to 27 August 2008 in San Jose, California, USA, NVISION 08 was a three-day mega-event for professionals and enthusiasts who are passionate about visual computing.
