Chinese whispers

It isn't easy to break a World Record. This is how BI Worldwide Ltd and Arsenal Football Club intend to do it:

Children aged 7- 11 from the Milton Keynes area will join forces with children from North London and groups associated with both TreeHouse and Save the Children for the record attempt. We'll position ourselves in the lower East Stand of Emirates Stadium. The first child will be given a piece of paper with a seven-word sentence. (It's top secret...don't even try to get it out of them!)

They will whisper it to the child on their right. Who whispers it to the child on their right. Who whispers it to the child on their right. And so it goes, weaving from row to row until the last child whispers it to the one who started it all...who takes the microphone and relays the final message.

Each child only gets one chance to hear the message, and then they will take their best shot and pass it on. The rules say it must be whispered in a circle. And here's the kicker – everyone must all be very, very quiet! So there will be games and entertainment to pass the time.Laughing, smiling and gesturing are permitted, but NO TALKING ALLOWED! A certified adjudicator from Guinness World Records will be on hand to verify their success, and then the celebrations shall begin!

The primary aim of the event is to raise the highest possible amount for TreeHouse, the national charity for autism education and Save the Children. In the process, BI hopes to teach the children participating that giving not only makes someone else feel good, but makes you feel good, as well, and by working together kids can help each other lead happier, healthier lives.

Through staging the event, BI will also promote the importance of transparent, face-to-face communication especially within a digital age. In the weeks leading up to the event, BI and representatives from the two charities will work with all the school children helping them understand the value of face-to-face communication skills and the importance of TreeHouse and Save the Children as they prepare for the record attempt.
